Sunday 5th February

On Sunday you'll find an artisan market, Indigenous crafters, and the BC Snow Sculpture Award Ceremony, finishing off with another night of excellent live music. With a shuttle service to/from Vernon, there's no reason to miss out!

Gather in the Silver Star village for Winter Carnival activities and admire the work of the snow sculptors meticulously scraping away at their mound of snow to create an incredible sculpture. Throughout the late afternoon into the evening, the Apres Ski scene will be alive and well with the 7 Celebrations events as performers like Kentucky EileenAndrew AllenRaquel Cole will be dispersed throughout the mountain’s restaurants and in the NATC Theatre to provide you with free live entertainment.

Saturday 4th February

Indigenous Showcase

5:30-8pm NATC Theatre

The 7 Celebrations Indigenous Showcase event brings people from all walks of life together, through an evening of Indigenous storytelling, live performances, and film. This family-friendly event will be held on February 3, 2023 at 5:30pm with doors opening at 5:00pm at the NATC Theatre.

A suggested donation of $7 will go towards fundraising for the completion of the film ‘Coming Home For the Children.’ With that donation, you’ll receive an Indigenous Social Media Calendar from Shop First Nations.

An artisan market will be open before and after the event for attendees to browse Indigenous products and food. For more detail about the Indigenous Showcase click on the link here

Silver Star mountain’s history reaches back centuries to include Indigenous use as a summer ground for hunting and berry picking.

Join us in Vernon and at SilverStar Mountain Resort to enjoy the celebrations of the local arts and culture along with winter activities during the yearly Vernon Winter Carnival. Live performances, local food, ice sculpting, and artisan markets can all be enjoyed at this event.

7 Celebrations was named after the 7 Affirmations for 7 Generations Thompson Okanagan Pledge that was inspired by Indigenous philosophy that the actions we make today will have a lasting impact for 7 generations to come. We will celebrate the traditions, stories, and cultures of the region’s communities so they can live on for years to come.
