Indigenous Art and Culture Series
January 21 - February 25
Learn about the history of SilverStar from Indigenous Elders in a new series presented by the Elders and Community Membership with the Syilx Territory.
The series is brought to you by SilverStar Mountain Resort and Destination SilverStar.
The opening night will be a presentation By Donna Good Water and other Elders.
SCHEDULE:
Sunday, January 21: 3:00pm, at the SilverStar NATC Auditorium. Donna Good Water will lead the welcoming night and do a historical presentation and moderate elders stories about SilverStar. Vendors will be on site to sell their art and food.
Saturday, January 27: 6:00pm, Flute, drum and stories. Vendors on site.
Wednesday, January 31: 3:00pm, Art Workshop. Artists TBD.
Saturday, February 3: 6:00pm -7:00pm Chaptix drama and vendors.
Wednesday, February 7: Art workshop. Artists TBD.
Sunday, February 18: Drama and vendors.
Sunday, February 25: 3:00pm – 6:00pm, wrap up celebration.
