This summer, two popular festivals are coming back to Silver Star. The Wine Festival will now be held in June to help kick off the summer season, while the Beer & Cider Festival in September will bring some of BC’s most celebrated vineyards, breweries, and cideries to the charming mid-village.

Silver Star Wine Festival (June 22)
The Okanagan, with its rich soil and unique micro-climates, has long been BC’s premiere grape growing region and home to many award-winning wineries. Sip local wines and enjoy ingredient-driven menus at the Silver Star Wine Festival. The reimagined culinary event features wine dinners, wine tasting in the Village, seminars, special features, and live music.
The Festival heralds exciting and innovative wine dinners at two Silver Star establishments: The Bulldog Grand Café and Black Pine Social. At The Bulldog Grand Café, expect exquisite pairings of regional wines with international Asian fusion flavours prepared by Chef Tyler Lafferty, whose unique culinary lens focuses on Dutch, Thai-Indonesian, and West Coast cuisine. At Black Pine Social, Chef Jarred Sauve and Owner Brandon Loughery have curated an elevated dining experience that draws from rustic European alpine culture, incorporating international flavours, with a modest influence from Japanese cuisine to add to their culinary creations.
On Saturday, festival goers can wander through Silver Star Village and enjoy some of BC’s most sought after artisanal wineries at the Signature Walk-About Tasting event. There will also be a free concert by Canadian singer-songwriters, Josh Bogert and Andrew Allen and a Polson Artisan Market pop-up. Transportation to and from Vernon is available.
Over the weekend, there will be a number of wine seminars taking place on the mountain. These 90-minute, sit-down events are the perfect place to deepen your knowledge with experts to guide you. Silver Star Beer & Cider Fest (September 9)
An early Oktoberfest party is brewing at Silver Star, with a signature craft beer and cider event. The festival, a collaboration with folks from the successful Squamish Beer Festival, will bring BC craft beverage makers to the colourful village to showcase their tasty creations, from hoppy IPAs to fruity Hefeweizens. The festival, which runs from 1-6pm also includes access to local food vendors, a Polson Market pop-up, live music, and games.
Extend your stay at Silver Star to spend time exploring the mountaintop trails or SilverStar Bike Park. The Park is open late on Fridays and Saturdays until 730PM. Participating accommodation partners are offering a special Beer Festival accommodation promotion when you stay for 2 nights or more.
