A multiple day gathering where different female focused snow events collide together to uplift community, build skills within the industry, and show off their talent. Made for builders, riders, and photographers alike. For the first year NITP’s Gathering Grounds presents two events:
Arena SnowParks – The Build Up: April 8-10
The Build Up, is an Arena SnowParks (ASP) initiative, which empowers the next generation of park builders by offering hands-on experience and education. With a focus on inclusivity and safety, it encourages people, especially women, to explore careers in park building—a field that has traditionally had a high barrier to entry.
The Build Up achieves this by bringing women and female identifying individuals from across Canada together to conceptualize, build, and open a dynamic, fun, and quality park.
The best part of it all, after NITP’s private event, the Creative Surge, the build will be open to the public to enjoy during SilverStar’s Spring Queening Park!
Note: The Build Up attendees will be receiving personal invites.
The Creative Surge: April 11
At the heart of this gathering lies The Creative Surge; a competition that unleashes bold riding and photography, rewarding creativity above all. Taking place on a female-built park created by The Build Up, this event is for female and non-binary skiers, snowboarders and photographers. The set up is built to enhance riders’ creativity with thoughtfully designed snow features. With an innovative build and epic riding, it creates the perfect setting for photographers to capture something unique while competing for photo of the day.
It’s a competition that feeds into the core culture of the snow industry, keeping it fun, uplifting, and a friendly environment both on and off the snow. With podiums for each art form (skiing, boarding, and photography) you can expect a prize purse and sick prizing to enhance your win. Gather the homies and join NITP for this one-of-a-kind event!
