Winters at Silver Star are packed full of exhilarating adventures and plenty of snow. Slide, glide, and swoosh your way to fun in the mountains this season.

This year-round destination is a beautiful and welcoming place to ski, bike, eat, drink, stay, and play in spring, summer and fall.     Women’s Creative Life Retreat

    Women are invited to Silver Star Mountain Resort for a special one-day retreat to practice creative expression. Spend the day exploring your mindful self in short sessions of meditation, yoga, journal writing, and either painting or life-planning. The full agenda and registration details can be found here.

    SilverStar Bike Park Opening Day

    Mountain bikers are stoked for the June 24th opening of SilverStar Bike Park, Canada’s second largest bike park with a network of over 139km of downhill, XC and enduro trails – built by riders for riders.

    Community Cultural Celebration

    Summer is on! To kick off the season, Destination Silver Star is hosting an inaugural Community Cultural Celebration in the village, which includes Polson Park artisan market featuring up to 20 local vendors, culinary offerings, and Slay the Dragon trail race. The event is free to attend and starts at 10am. Cultural acts take the stage at 130pm with headliner daysormay performing at 3pm.

    Silver Star Museum Mountain Tours

    The Silver Star Mountain Museum is running another guided tour of the mountain on Sunday August 21. Lead by Norm and Nancy Crerar (previous owners of Silver Star in the 80s and 90s), the tour will begin at Pinnacles, the original Day Lodge, then continue through various historical locations in the village, as you learn everything you ever wanted to know about the history of “The Star”.     Crankworx Summer Series: SilverStar

    The Crankworx Summer Series features bike races staged in epic locations. Think big air, fast berms, and world-class riding. Event competitions offer local and up-and-coming racers a chance to go wheel-to-wheel with national and international heroes, providing a path to future Crankworx World Tour greatness. Over $30,000 in prizes will be up for grabs.

    Silver Star Summer Wine Festival

    Uncork together at our reimagined wine festival, featuring three Savour the Sun Wine Dinners, wine tasting in the Village, special features, and live music.

    The weekend will bring some of the region’s most celebrated winemakers to Silver Star. The festival kicks off Thursday with Silver Star restaurants inviting guests to enjoy wine features. Friday plays host to winemaker dinners happening at The Bulldog Grand Café and Black Pine restaurants.

    Saturday is the main tasting event, with live music from Josh Bogert and Andrew Allen with a shuttle service from Vernon. Tickets can be purchased at: Savour the Sun: Silver Star.* There will also be a Polson Park market pop-up featuring local artisan vendors.

    On Sunday, Sister Speak takes the stage for a free concert in the village between 4-6pm.

    Silver Star Craft Beer & Cider Festival

    Celebrate Oktoberfest with Silver Star’s Craft Beer & Cider Festival. Silver Star is partnering with the fine folks behind the long-running fan favourite Squamish Beer Fest to bring a celebration of the finest craft beer tastings and extensive local cidery options to the mountain village. There will be a variety of food flavour features, live music, games, and lots of fun. Grab a group of friends, take a few laps in the epic bike park, and enjoy tasty brews. Get your ticket now!

    Wilderness Advanced First Aid

    Come and learn Wilderness First Aid from industry professionals in an outdoor, mountain bike setting at Silver Star.  This 40-hour wilderness advanced first aid course focuses on the basics of managing life and limb threats in remote environments, with a focus on the injuries common to various sports such as mountain biking, ski touring, climbing, and rafting. The training also includes prevention and treatment of common environmental problems like hypothermia and heat-related illnesses, as well as covering common medical emergencies, choking, drowning and includes a CPR-C certification from the LifeSaving Society.     Mountain Bike Tourism Symposium

    The MTB Tourism Symposium is a gathering of creative minds with a vested interest in advancing the future of mountain bike tourism and recreation in British Columbia. We’re pleased to welcome this industry group to Silver Star this September.

    BC Bike Race Base Camp

    The BC Bike Race is a multi-day stage race that brings riders on a journey through the beautiful Okanagan as they explore the region from North to South. Silver Star will be base camp for racers in mid-September as riders explore the vast network of trails in the area.
